During the coronavirus pandemic, self-service stores experienced growth, and Tiendas 3B was no exception. In 2020, this chain of mini-supermarkets increased its customer base and achieved double-digit sales growth, which it plans to maintain this year.

Anthony Hatoum, founder and CEO of the chain, states that the company's revenues grew by over 25% by the end of 2020, thanks to its business model that focuses on maintaining low prices. This approach has allowed them to achieve similar growth rates for the past seven years.

This year, the chain is preparing to open 150 more stores, reaching a total of 1,350 by year-end, in addition to its nine distribution centers. Without disclosing the investment amount, Hatoum explains that the location of these branches will follow the organic and "circular" growth strategy that has expanded the company's presence from Mexico City to the central region of the country.
