Simon Galante, CEO of FibraHotel, has been appointed as the new president of the Mexican Association of Real Estate Trusts (Amefibra) for the next two years, replacing outgoing president Luis Gutierrez, CEO of Fibra Prologis.During a press conference at the third annual "FibraDAY: 10 Years of Fibras in Mexico - Leadership and Resilience" event, Simon Galante emphasized his main goal of attracting more foreign investment and promoting understanding of real estate trusts among various stakeholders in order to democratize investments in the sector.
"Our strategy for the next two years in Amefibra will focus on promotion, communication, and openness to educate and provide clear explanations about what each trust represents individually, as well as highlighting the country's endless tourism virtues," stated the new president of the real estate trust association. Galante highlighted that the association has a strong foundation to continue promoting and fostering understanding among institutional and individual investors, as well as foreign and domestic funds, regarding the investment opportunities and growth potential offered by real estate trusts.
