Investing in Real Estate Investment Trusts (FIBRAs, in Spanish) assures currency stability in one of Mexico's most robust markets. However, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria have become crucial for financing conditions among developers.
The Mexican Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (Amefibra) reaffirms its commitment, along with its associates, to this endeavor. In line with this commitment, Amefibra partnered with the organization Reforestamos México for the "Invasive Exotic Species" project.
The initiative took place in Monterrey, with the participation of several REITs dedicated to environmental restoration. Participants collected five to ten sacks of kalanchoe per person, a plant that disrupts ecosystems outside its natural habitat. This invasive species causes significant damage to the environment and biodiversity, impacting water supply in the regions where it spreads.
