Grupo Axo, a company that specializes in marketing international fashion brands such as Guess, Tommy Hilfiger, and Victoria's Secret, has announced its acquisition of retail firm Komax. Komax operates in Chile, Peru, and Uruguay and engages in mono and multi-brand, multi-channel retail for clothing, shoes, and accessories.
With over 150 stores across the three countries, Komax has established a strong presence in the region. The financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed, but Grupo Axo expects to become the sole holder of Komax's shares, without significant changes to its leverage level.
This acquisition follows Grupo Axo's recent purchase of certain assets from ON Stores Mexico, a subsidiary of The Gap Inc., to oversee the operations, management, and distribution of the Old Navy brand in Mexico.
