BBVA Mexico has opened its second Open Space in Guadalajara, Jalisco, following the success of the first one in Mexico City. Since its inauguration in 2016, the original Open Space has hosted over 1,500 events for the fintech and innovation ecosystem.
The new space aims to foster the development of startups and entrepreneurs in the region through events, forums, talks, workshops, and more. It aligns with BBVA's strategic focus areas such as financial health, sustainability, open banking, and open innovation. By providing interactive and gamified experiences, the Open Space aims to inspire entrepreneurs, help them identify opportunities, strengthen their skills, and gain momentum towards achieving their goals.
"Guadalajara is the perfect location to open the second Open Space, as it is known as the Mexican 'Silicon Valley' with over 1,000 high-tech companies, more than 35 design centers, and four research centers," said Eduardo Osuna Osuna, Vice President and CEO of BBVA Mexico.
