Becton Dickinson Invests $56 Million Dollars in a Syringe Production Plant in Mexico
Medical technology company Becton Dickinson is investing $56 million in its Cuautitlán Izcalli plant in Mexico to establish a high-tech pre-filled glass syringe production line for vaccines.

Medical technology company Becton Dickinson (BD) has announced a $56 million investment in its plant located in Cuautitlán Izcalli, State of Mexico. The objective of this investment is to establish a high-tech pre-filled glass syringe production line for vaccines.
In addition, a new assembly plant for the device caps will be constructed. These projects will be situated within BD's existing facilities in the Cuamatla Industrial Park.
The investment is expected to create 200 direct jobs and 400 indirect jobs for builders, operators, and industry professionals. The new infrastructure will span 4,000 square meters across a two-story building.
Completion of the projects is anticipated by August 2022, expanding the Cuautitlán Izcalli plant's total construction area to 130,000 square meters.
