Karla Fernández, the Manager of New Business and Project Management at Wal-Mart Mexico, shared an innovative concept via her LinkedIn profile: integrating gas stations with convenience stores. This novel business model will first be introduced with Bodega Aurrera and will later extend to the Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club chains.
In collaboration with Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex), they will ensure a reliable supply of quality gasoline. Meanwhile, Gazpro will handle the station's design, development, and operation.
The primary aim of this initiative is to provide customers the convenience of fueling up and shopping at a single location. Adding to this, they pledge "everyday low prices", targeting the betterment of family budgets.
While the plan is to inaugurate a total of nine stations in this first phase, specifics about the location and opening dates for the remaining eight are still to be announced. This initiative represents a pioneering step in enhancing the consumer experience, making daily tasks even more streamlined.
