The renowned fast-food chain Church’s Chicken, which has a presence in various regions of Mexico, including Tamaulipas, Nuevo León, and Quintana Roo, is undergoing a transformation.
Over the next few years, it will adopt the name "Texas Chicken," a change that will be implemented globally to reflect the franchise's American roots. This strategic shift was announced by Jaime Turrubiates Solís, Chairman of the Board of Grupo Jaktur, the entity that holds the brand's rights in Mexico. Solís unveiled this change during the inauguration of a new establishment on Industry Avenue in Tampico.
Since its inception in San Antonio, Texas, Church’s Chicken has grown and expanded internationally. This transformation is not merely a name change: it represents a return to its roots and an adaptation to global market dynamics. With Mexico as one of its key markets since the first restaurant opened in Tampico in 1992, several existing branches will be modified to align with this new global vision. Church's rich history, from its foundation by George W. Church in 1952 to its expansion into Mexico and other countries, underscores its commitment to quality and adaptability. This rebranding is just the next step in its continued evolution.
