Governor Miguel Ángel Riquelme Solís of Coahuila was present in the enchanting Magical Town of Parras de La Fuente, where he shared exciting news.

Despite the challenging conditions imposed by the pandemic, the state continues to be a highly attractive destination for productive investment and has successfully recovered numerous jobs.

During a special ceremony, an investment of four million dollars by La-Z Boy, a US-based recliner manufacturing company, was announced. This investment will create 750 jobs. La-Z Boy already has plants in Ramos Arizpe, San Pedro de las Colonias, and, as of a month ago, in Parras de la Fuente.

Governor Riquelme Solís highlighted the successful management of the pandemic in the state, allowing Coahuila to remain in the Green Epidemiological Traffic Light. As a result, both national and foreign investors are interested in our territory, attracted by the competitive advantages we have managed to maintain.

The governor pointed out that, according to INEGI studies, Coahuila ranks fifth in terms of security perception. This achievement is based on effective coordination among police forces at all levels of government and the Armed Forces.

La-Z Boy executives expressed their gratitude to Governor Miguel Riquelme and his team for the facilities provided to establish this third plant in our state. This investment reaffirms their confidence in Coahuila as the best destination for their investments and will contribute to the economic strengthening of the Southeast Region.
