Coahuila, a key player for industrial investment in Mexico
Coahuila, particularly the municipality of Ramos Arizpe, is a key player in industrial investment in Mexico, with recent examples including the construction of the POSCO plant in the Amistad Industrial Park.
Infrastructure development in Coahuila, supported by projects initiated by the Secretariat of Agrarian, Territorial, and Urban Development (Sedatu), aims to attract more capital and new businesses to the region. Additionally, the municipality of Nava is seeking to establish a new industrial park to further stimulate economic growth.

Coahuila, particularly the municipality of Ramos Arizpe, plays a key role in industrial investment in Mexico, according to the Mexican Chamber of the Construction Industry (CMIC). A recent example is the $100 million financing for the construction of the POSCO plant in the Amistad Industrial Park in July 2022.
JLL Mexico highlighted that the Ramos Arizpe region has maintained a strong track record in offering industrial spaces in Mexico, thanks to its proximity to the United States and ease of real estate investment.
Governor Miguel Riquelme emphasized that the region is focused on ensuring the growth of the manufacturing sector, particularly in electric vehicle production.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Agrarian, Territorial, and Urban Development (Sedatu) initiated infrastructure projects in May 2022 with a value of 253 million pesos, aiming to attract more industrial investment. Both the Ministry and the State Government are confident that the development of better infrastructure will attract new companies to the region.
In the municipality of Nava, Coahuila, there is also a search for the construction of a new industrial park. Mayor María del Pilar Valenzuela Gallardo mentioned that areas are being cleared to attract potential companies interested in the large-scale project that will be carried out in three stages.
