The project to expand and operate Colgate-Palmolive's Distribution Center (Cedis) in San José Iturbide, Guanajuato, has commenced, aiming to make it the largest of its kind for the brand worldwide. The construction of the facility received a combined investment of 500 million pesos from Solistica and OMEGA.

According to a statement, the center currently provides 690 direct job opportunities in warehousing and manufacturing operations, along with approximately 530 jobs for 32 transportation companies covering supply circuits. Additionally, during the 11-month construction period, the participating companies created 342 employment positions.

Colgate-Palmolive's Cedis spans an impressive 100,000 square meters and boasts a storage capacity of over 131,000 pallet positions for products. With this expansion, it will handle approximately 50% of the brand's volume in Mexico, which roughly translates to moving around 58 million boxes per year.
