In 2023, the bidding process will begin for the construction of a new industrial park in San Martín Texmelucan. This park will host suppliers of auto parts for Volkswagen de México, specifically for the production of 44-4 cars.
The industrial zone will be 100% sustainable, marking a first in the state and with a focus on electric car production in Puebla. It will be located in the municipal headquarters, which is a 40-minute drive from Volkswagen de México's plant in Cuautlancingo.
The project is expected to deliver the executive plan by the end of 2022. The first phase of the industrial facility for electric car company Link EV in Ciudad Modelo, San José Chiapa, has already begun, and a production line will be ready by March 2023.
