The Webasto Group has announced the expansion of its Webasto Charging plant located in the VYNMSA Guanajuato Industrial Park in the Irapuato sub-market. The German company invested $51.6 million to increase production of chargers for electric vehicles.

The first stage of the factory expansion, which included three production lines for chargers, was inaugurated in November 2022. As of last Friday, the company has added six new production lines, bringing the total to nine. In 2024, Webasto plans to expand the factory further.

According to SiiLA Market Analytics, the Webasto Group's plant covered over 11,000 square meters of gross leasable area in a class A property of Guanajuato's industrial market until last year.
