The Mexico City Metropolitan Area is experiencing a significant upgrade in its logistical infrastructure with the construction of the DHL Supply Chain mega campus at the T-Mex-Park industrial park, hailed as the most modern in Latin America. Located in the Zumpango-Nextlalpan submarket, this project promises to transform the metropolitan zone, creating thousands of jobs and bolstering trade connections within the country and with North America.

The DHL mega campus will be one of the largest logistics centers nationally, featuring four state-of-the-art buildings spanning over 200,000 square meters. These facilities will be strategically positioned near the Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA), facilitating the movement and distribution of goods. This aspect is crucial, as the complex is situated in an area where 45% of the country's land freight travels. This will optimize logistical and commercial processes for DHL and strengthen productive sectors such as e-commerce, fashion, electronics, and automotive development.

DHL's new facilities will significantly expand the German company's presence in Mexico. According to SiiLA, DHL boasts nearly 600,000 square meters of industrial space in the country's major real estate markets. In the last year alone, SiiLA recorded a 13% increase in the industrial area occupied by DHL.

Strategic Infrastructure in the Valley of Mexico

The impact of the DHL mega campus and T-Mex-Park extends beyond the economic realm; it represents a promise of development and well-being for the inhabitants of the State of Mexico areas such as Zumpango, Tultepec, Tonanitla, Jaltenco, Tultitlan, Tecamac, and even reaching into the state of Hidalgo.

During the groundbreaking ceremony of the new DHL Supply Chain facilities, Grupo Parks Industrial, the developer of T-Mex-Park, reported that this 4,000,000 square meter industrial park will be one-of-a-kind. As part of an investment of over 4 billion dollars, T-Mex-Park is currently 30% complete and is expected to handle more than 3,000 tons of products daily in its first phase.

The DHL mega campus at T-Mex-Park promises to boost logistical and industrial development in the Mexico City Metropolitan Area through an ambitious project that stands as a beacon of innovation and efficiency in the region. With cutting-edge infrastructure and sustainable practices, this complex aims to meet current market demands and anticipate future needs in the logistics and trade sector. In this sense, integrating advanced supply chain management technologies and a commitment to reducing the carbon footprint underscore DHL and Grupo Parks Industrial's sustainability and corporate social responsibility approach.
