The US Green Building Council awards the LEED O+M seal to buildings that are efficient in their energy performance and, therefore, demonstrate a low environmental impact.
Fibra Mty, a corporate and industrial real estate investment trust, began the LEED O+M (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Operations and Maintenance) diagnosis and certification process for its office buildings.

The company headed by Jorge Avalos stated in a notice to investors that this certification, which is granted by the US Green Building Council, distinguishes the operation of existing buildings for demonstrating best practices in favor of sustainability, achieving the highest standards in energy performance and low environmental impact.

The real estate trust added that the certification process covers a total of 141,186 square meters of gross rentable area distributed in 11 buildings in the markets of Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, San Luis Potosi and Ciudad Juarez, and is expected to be completed in its entirety within a period of 6 to 18 months.
