Fibra Terrafina is on track to conclude the construction of two new industrial real estate projects in the states of Chihuahua and Nuevo León before the end of this year.
"With construction progress at 80% for the built-to-suit project in Ciudad Juárez, and 50% for the development in Apodaca, we expect to complete them during the third and fourth quarters, respectively," revealed Alberto Chretin, CEO and President of the Technical Committee of the Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) Fibra.
In the case of the project in Apodaca, it consists of a 153,000-square-foot building, according to information provided by Terrafina. In this regard, in the last quarter of 2020, they announced an investment plan ranging from $150 million to $200 million to develop between 2.5 million and 3.2 million square feet in new projects.
These projects are designed to meet the needs of the e-commerce, logistics, and nearshoring sectors.
Currently, Fibra Terrafina has 279 properties, including 275 industrial warehouses, with an approximate total of 39.0 million square feet of gross leasable area. Additionally, we have four land reserves to preserve the organic growth capacity of our portfolio. It is worth noting that the current occupancy rate reaches an impressive 96.3% as of June.
