FINSA, the developer of industrial spaces, has announced its incorporation into the United Nations Global Compact (UN Global Compact), one of the most prominent global sustainability initiatives.
With over 15,000 associated companies in 160 countries, the UN Global Compact promotes the adoption of ten universal principles related to human rights, labor, the environment, and the fight against corruption in business strategies and operations. Ojiambo emphasized the importance of these objectives for the health and vitality of the private sector and the relationship between businesses and society.
She also noted that participating companies in the Global Compact are diligently working to promote a change-oriented approach based on these principles. Sergio Argüelles, the president of FINSA, highlighted the company's long-standing commitment to social and environmental responsibility. With this adherence to the Global Compact, FINSA demonstrates its commitment by integrating the ten universal principles as a fundamental part of its sustainability strategy.
In Mexico, FINSA leads in LEED Gold certification, with its buildings accounting for 38% of certifications in the industrial sector. Through these initiatives, the company has achieved a reduction of 2,200 tons of CO2, a decrease in electricity consumption by 3,800 MWh, and savings of 16,900 m3 of water.
