Hootsuite, a social media management platform, conducted a survey of its employees in 2021 to find out what they imagined their ideal workspace would be like.
The survey provided the necessary data to guide the restructuring of the offices in Mexico City, but also inferred the need to modify some labor policies within the company: each employee has the right to choose whether to work full time in the office, remotely or hybrid.
Thus, the above was observed in data: 37% of Hootsuite Mexico employees preferred to go to the office 1 to 3 days per week. Another similar percentage, 31%, wanted to attend a couple of times a month only.
"Now that people are returning to the office, we want to make sure that these collaborative spaces are properly designed for the return to work, and that our workers feel comfortable being the best version of themselves when they are in these facilities," said Paulina Rickard, Facilities Manager for Hootsuite.
