After the successful inauguration of IKEA Puebla, the renowned Swedish brand has now chosen its next destination: Guadalajara. With an investment of approximately $100 million, IKEA plans to open its next store in a commercial complex located at Explanada López Mateos, just behind Trasloma. Although construction has already begun, an official inauguration date has yet to be announced, as the store is currently in the early stages of development.

About the Submarket:

The upcoming commercial complex will be situated within the Zapopan submarket. According to data from SiiLA Market Analytics, this submarket boasts over 300,000 square meters of inventory. Distrito la Perla, with a gross leasable area of nearly 100,000 square meters, was the latest addition to this submarket, completing its construction in the second quarter of 2022.

One of the distinguishing features of this submarket is the prevalence of community center-style shopping malls. The largest tenants in this area are Liverpool, occupying the most square meters, followed by Cinépolis, Walmart, and Sears.
