IKEA Plans to Open 3 Additional Stores in Mexico

After opening in Mexico City, the country's capital, in April 2021, the company is now preparing to land in Puebla.

As part of its expansion plans in Latin America, the Swedish furniture company IKEA continues its growth in Mexico and seeks to open new physical stores in the cities of Puebla, Guadalajara and Monterrey and expand its digital stores, said Ricardo Pinheiro, sales director of IKEA Mexico, in an interview with EFE.After opening in Mexico City, the country's capital, in April 2021, the company is now preparing to land in Puebla.

"If everything goes well (it will be) during the summer, no later than that, and from there we will continue with our plans to be able to open a physical store also in (the cities of) Guadalajara and Monterrey," the executive noted.
