Ikea, the Swedish Scandinavian design furniture chain, expects residents of Puebla to also have a demand for sofas, mattresses, plants, and kitchen utensils, as seen in their store in Mexico City.
The inauguration of their second store in Mexico is scheduled for August 11th, within an 11,500 square meter space at Vía San Ángel shopping center.
The opening of the store has created 240 jobs, with 90% of them being filled by locals. Unlike the multi-level store in Mexico City, the Puebla branch will be a single-floor store offering a variety of 4,500 products.
