The inclined elevator located in the Estado de Hidalgo neighborhood of Álvaro Obregón municipality has been delivered. It is part of the "Escalando Vidas, Tejiendo Destinos" project. The main objective of this project is to improve the mobility of residents in 18 neighborhoods by providing them with a more efficient way to ascend and descend the Barranca de Mixcoac.
The elevator represents a significant improvement in people's travel times, as it allows them to complete the journey in just two minutes, contrasting with the approximately 20 minutes required by other means of transportation.
With a capacity for nine people, this elevator covers a slope of 168 meters, a similar trajectory to ascending the Pyramid of the Sun in Teotihuacán.
