La Comer Opens Fresko Store in Monterrey

La Comer, a self-service store chain, has introduced a new Fresko store in Monterrey, Nuevo León, representing a total investment of 286 million pesos. This expansion has led to the creation of 260 formal jobs, including 223 direct positions and 37 indirect positions. 

The new store offers a diverse range of 30,000 products across its 4,600 square meters of retail space, accompanied by a covered parking area with 1,200 slots. Fresko Esfera marks the second commercial unit in Nuevo León, with the company's first store in Monterrey operating under the City Market format, which involved an investment of 465 million pesos and created 550 formal jobs in 2019. 

With this recent opening, La Comer has inaugurated a total of five stores in 2021, amounting to an investment of 1,743 million pesos and generating over 1,600 formal employment opportunities. Additionally, the company plans to continue expanding its presence in Nuevo León in the coming year. This latest addition brings La Comer's commercial units nationwide to a total of 77, encompassing various store formats such as Sumesa, City Market, Fresko, and La Comer.
