The Liverpool company has decided to permanently close its Liverpool department store branch in Guadalajara's Plaza del Sol shopping center.
The closure is part of a strategic decision. It comes as Liverpool prepares to be included in the commercial offerings of the upcoming Distrito La Perla complex in Guadalajara, Jalisco.

The Liverpool Port, owner of the Liverpool and Suburbia chains, has made the strategic decision to permanently close the Liverpool department store branch located in the Plaza del Sol shopping center, one of Guadalajara's most historic complexes.
It is worth noting that the store initially operated under the Fábricas de Francia brand and was transformed into Liverpool when the Mexican company announced the decision to eliminate the 41 stores that operated nationwide under the Fábricas de Francia concept in 2017.
According to FashionNetwork.com, the Liverpool store in Plaza del Sol closed its doors this September after being one of the anchor stores of the shopping center for over 50 years. The shopping center opened its doors in 1969, parallel to the retail chain.
The decision to close the doors at Plaza del Sol is not coincidental. It is important to remember that Liverpool will be one of the brands included in the commercial offer of Distrito La Perla, one of the most ambitious complexes in the capital of Jalisco, which will begin operations soon.
