Canadian manufacturer Matcor Matsu is set to expand its Ramos Arizpe plant in the industrial market of Saltillo with a $10.4 million investment. The company aims to increase its production capacity for vehicle seats, instrument panel structures, welding assemblies, and stampings.

As a result of the expansion, Matcor Matsu's facilities will have an additional projected surface area of 3,500 square meters. The Canadian company's plant is situated in the Amistad Aeropuerto Industrial Park, which, according to SiiLA Market Analytics, is a Class A property with over 23,000 square meters of gross leasable area (GLA).

During the announcement of Matcor Matsu's expansion, the Mayor of Ramos Arizpe, Jose Maria Morales Padilla, highlighted that the municipality was leading job creation in Coahuila. He emphasized that the state has security, labor, and social stability, as well as all the conditions to promote business growth and development.

Matcor Matsu's investment follows four previous investments announced in Ramos Arizpe during the first two months of 2023, positioning the municipality as the top job creator in Coahuila, according to local government information.

The plant expansion further reinforces the manufacturing company's presence in the Saltillo industrial market. In addition to the Amistad Aeropuerto Industrial Park property, Matcor Matsu has a Class B building with more than 12,000 square meters of GLA in the Ramos Arizpe Industrial Zone, as per SiiLA.

Matcor Matsu established its presence in Mexico in 2012 by opening its first facilities in the Saltillo industrial market, which were later expanded with an assembly area in 2013. Five years later, the company expanded its presence in the market with a second property.
