The renowned Malaga-based children's fashion firm, Mayoral, one of the global leaders in its sector, is significantly expanding its footprint in Mexico. This strategic expansion includes the opening of new standalone stores in the country, thus consolidating its position in one of its most vital international markets.

The first flagship stores have been established in Mexico City, specifically in the Las Antenas shopping center, a property owned by the well-known real estate group Fibra Danhos. Additionally, another store has opened its doors in Naucalpan de Juárez, with plans for a third store in early 2022. This growth is spearheaded by José Luis Oliva Díaz, the recent director of retail for Latin America, based in Mexico. Oliva Díaz, with a distinguished career in Mayoral's internationalization department since 2012, has been a cornerstone of this expansion.

It's worth noting that Mayoral already had a presence in Mexico. For years, it has operated a store in Querétaro, specifically in Plaza Antea, managed by its franchisee Spazieren S de RL de CV. The firm has also made its mark in countries such as Ecuador and Panama. Ecommerce has not been left behind: Mayoral launched its online platform in Mexico last year, broadening its digital presence in 21 markets across Europe and America. Globally, Mayoral, which began its retail journey in 1997, boasts 205 standalone stores, 40 franchises, and 10,000 sales points in over 100 countries. Its international expansion accounts for a staggering 75% of its total revenue. With a focus on children's fashion, Mayoral offers collections for boys and girls aged 0 to 16, in addition to childcare products. In 2019, the brand ventured into new horizons with Abel&Lula, its premium line, and has recently ventured into adult fashion after acquiring Hug&Clau and Boston.
