Mercado Libre Secures $233 Million Investment from Goldman Sachs for Expansion in Lending Services
Goldman Sachs provides $223 million financing to Mercado Libre for expanding its credit offerings in Mexico and Brazil through its Fintech business.

The US investment bank, Goldman Sachs, has provided a financing line of $223 million to Mercado Libre, which will be used to expand its credit offerings through its Fintech business in Mexico and Brazil.
According to the Argentinean e-commerce company, $127 million of the funds will be allocated to expanding credit capacity for individuals, small, and medium-sized enterprises in Mexico, while the remaining $106 million will be directed towards the Brazilian market.
Facundo Cuppi, the company's Director of Strategy and Operations, stated that Mercado Pago aims to provide innovative credit solutions that cater to the needs and capabilities of millions of Latin Americans.
