The merger between Fibra Plus and Fibra HD, the first of its kind in the Mexican real estate investment trust market, is expected to be finalized after the second quarter of this year, according to Fibra Plus CEO Rodrigo González. The approval process involves the Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores (CNBV), the Comisión Federal de Competencia Económica (Cofece), and the shareholders' assemblies of both companies. The completion of the merger is dependent on government timelines and regulatory authorizations. González highlighted that the combination of businesses will create value for investors and generate synergies between the two trusts.
In their ongoing pursuit of opportunities that add value to investors, Fibra Plus is exploring growth alternatives, including the potential business combination with the other trust, subject to regulatory and corporate approvals, emphasized Fibra Plus CEO Rodrigo González. The exchange ratio for this transaction will be disclosed during the forced public tender offer.
