José Antonio Abugaber Andonie, President of the Confederation of Industrial Chambers of Mexico (Concamin), affirmed that the Mexican economy has the industrial capacity to become a Western giant. He represented the unified voice of Mexican industrialists, seeking solutions to drive innovation, utilize resources, and preserve the environment for societal well-being. Abugaber Andonie highlighted Mexico's renowned transnational companies that export manufactured goods and services globally.

Mexico ranks as the 15th largest economy worldwide, with a GDP of $1.292 trillion in 2021. Abugaber Andonie shared this during the Expo Dubai 2020, where he presented Mexico Industry Trends. He also mentioned Mexico's progress as the 11th largest exporter globally, surpassing the United Kingdom, with $418 billion in exports. Concamin contributes 40% of the national GDP, 90% of direct exports, and provides employment to 9.4 million workers, representing 42% of formal employment.

Abugaber Andonie emphasized the importance of technology, innovation, and digitalization in Mexico's industries. He highlighted the need for remote processes, cloud storage, online platforms, and artificial intelligence to simplify operations and drive business transformation. The reduction of carbon emissions, sustainability, and the transition to clean fuels and renewable energy were also highlighted as crucial aspects for the future.
