Mexico City Government Reduces Environmental and Urban Impact

  • For the authorities in Mexico City, environmental and urban impact studies have now become a streamlined process that developers can complete in a single step through a unified platform. This has already facilitated the registration of 85 real estate projects in the city, demonstrating its effectiveness.

For the authorities in Mexico City, environmental and urban impact studies can now be carried out more efficiently through a simplified process using a single window.

This has allowed the successful registration of 85 real estate projects in the region. Claudia Sheinbaum  the head of government of Mexico City (CDMX), explained this during her participation at the Real Estate Show organized by the Association of Real Estate Developers (ADI).

With this single impact window, developers can obtain the necessary permits to initiate construction, including excavation phases.

"About a year ago, we gathered in working groups, concerned about the challenges that the city faced in terms of construction and real estate development growth," Claudia Sheinbaum recalled.

"One of the approved measures was the creation of a unified impact commission. We decided that instead of having separate urban and environmental impact studies, a single study would be conducted through a single window."
