This distinction is awarded to private properties and institutions that stand out as biodiversity hotspots, showcasing rich native flora and fauna and making significant contributions to ecological value and environmental services that ensure the integrity and functionality of local ecosystems.
The company is constantly striving to enhance and contribute to sustainable mobility, driving projects that ensure responsible resource utilization and guarantee the high quality and durability of their products and solutions.
A concrete example of this commitment is their proprietary indicator called I-MEP (Industrial Michelin Environmental), which measures the environmental footprint of their plants, encompassing water management, energy consumption, atmospheric emissions, and waste management as key components.
Thanks to the implementation of this program, Michelin has achieved a 43% reduction in water consumption over the past 15 years. Furthermore, they have set an additional target of a 33% reduction in water extraction and consumption by 2030.
