This week, Modineer Group inaugurated a new plant in the Santiago Troncoso area, located in the southern submarket of Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua. With the addition of over 13,300 square meters, this company specializing in the manufacturing of industrial supplies and metal parts now boasts 18 manufacturing plants worldwide.
During the inauguration, Alan Russell, President and CEO of Tecma Group, expressed gratitude to Modineer Group for choosing them to develop the project, which will create 130 jobs in its initial stage and 350 additional jobs during 2023.
In mid-2021, American Industries delivered the industrial building that Modineer Group currently occupies, located in the American Industries Kimko Industrial Park in Ciudad Juárez, according to information from SiiLA's Market Analytics.
Modineer Group is a supplier of renowned brands such as BRP, Chrysler, Ford, and General Motors. Their worldwide plants occupy more than 93,000 square meters. The U.S.-based company's new facilities in Ciudad Juarez are dedicated to manufacturing custom metal parts, welding, stamping, and painting.
During the inauguration, Cruz Perez Cuellar, Mayor of Ciudad Juarez, commented on the significance of Modineer Group's investment since the maquiladora industry "is the engine of the Juarez economy." Between 70% and 80% of formal jobs in the city come from this industry.
