On Earth Day, Nestlé, P&G, and Walmart of Mexico and Central America inaugurated a Recycling Center at the Walmart Supercenter in Santa Elena, Cuautitlán, State of Mexico. This center has the capacity to recycle up to 119 tons of waste during its first two years of operation.

This initiative, called "Juntos por un Mejor Mañana" (Together for a Better Tomorrow), aims to collect tons of waste and contribute to a circular economy.

During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the opening of an additional recycling center was also announced, which will be located at Bodega Aurrerá in Quintana Roo. Both facilities will be able to receive waste such as PET, HDPE (high-density polyethylene), aluminum, and glass, among others.
