Onest Logistics, a leading 100% Mexican company in logistics services, is set to invest over 200 million pesos in 2022. This significant investment will be allocated towards establishing their state-of-the-art operations center, acquiring cutting-edge equipment, and building dark warehouses to meet the growing demand.

The logistics operator plans to commence operations at the distribution center in July 2022, located in the State of Mexico. The facility will focus on storing goods, fulfilling orders, distributing products, and providing home delivery services. With this new center, the company will have a total of 21 locations, dedicated exclusively to e-commerce operations, catering to prominent companies such as Mercado Libre and Amazon.

In addition to expanding their infrastructure, Onest Logistics will create 500 new job opportunities, supplementing the current workforce of 3,550 employees. This investment is driven by the continued growth of online shopping. The Mexican Online Sales Association (AMVO) predicts a staggering 226% increase in this industry by 2025, accounting for approximately 24% of total retail sales in Mexico.

Before the health crisis, e-commerce accounted for only 7% of total sales, but it has now surged to 24%. However, supply shortages have affected various sectors, including textiles, fashion, appliances, electronics, and automotive industries.

Only two sectors have managed to avoid this problem. According to Rubén Imán  CEO of Onest Logistics, the food sector has remained unaffected due to a significant portion of food production being localized in Mexico.
