Pegatron is investing in Ciudad Juárez by laying the foundation stone for its second plant. Since August 2020, this renowned global manufacturer of electronic products had announced this exciting project.
In a ceremony held in the southern part of the city, top executives of the company joined municipal and state authorities to mark this significant milestone.
John Hsu, President of Pegatron, enthusiastically shared that the construction of the plant will be completed next year.
He expressed gratitude to the Municipal Government for their support, which has facilitated the realization of this project. The new plant is expected to generate approximately three thousand direct jobs once it becomes operational. Its production focus will be on electrical and automotive components, particularly in the manufacturing of vehicle computers.
Furthermore, the Mayor of Ciudad Juárez, Cruz Pérez Cuéllar, announced plans for industrial growth in the Anapra area. Although the results will not be immediate, investments in infrastructure are planned to have a positive impact on the economy, especially in the central, northern, and northwestern areas of the city.
This announcement promises a bright future for the region, driving economic development and creating new opportunities for the residents of Ciudad Juárez.
