The company, headquartered in Purchase, New Jersey, has announced a significant increase in its revenue during the first quarter, with a year-on-year growth of 9.3%, reaching $16.2 billion.
This growth has been primarily driven by the success of its snacks and beverages businesses in the North American market.
The company has also reported a profit of $3.3 billion associated with the recent sale of juice brand assets in North America and Europe, specifically Tropicana and Naked.
However, it has also recorded charges related to the situation in Ukraine, amounting to $482 million, which led to the suspension of some of its businesses in Russia. The Frito-Lay division in North America has experienced notable growth, with a 14% increase in revenue, driven by advertising during the Super Bowl and sales of popular snack brands such as Doritos, Lay's, Ruffles, and Cheetos. Additionally, the beverage division in the region has achieved a 13% increase, propelled by renowned brands such as Pepsi, Mountain Dew, and Gatorade.
