ProximityParks Coyoacán recently announced the installation of 174 solar panels at its last-mile warehouse on Avenida Universidad. The company anticipates that these solar panels will provide between 25% and 100% of its tenants' total energy needs.

According to the industrial warehouse administrator, the installation of the solar panels marks the completion of "the sustainable reconversion of what used to be a car dealership and body shop" in one of their most significant logistics facilities in Mexico City.

ProximityParks Coyoacán strives to uphold the highest quality standards across all its properties. The company revealed that 45% of the construction materials used in the remodeling of the last-mile warehouse were recycled. Following the recent remodeling, ProximityParks Coyoacán aims to attain LEED certification from the US Green Building Council, just like its other properties.

By doing so, the company expects that its 4.7 thousand square meter warehouse will join the more than 1.6 million square meters of environmentally certified industrial buildings in Mexico City. This number represents 13% of the existing buildings in the market, according to information from SiiLA Market Analytics.

In addition to the last-mile facility on Avenida Universidad, ProximityParks also operates two facilities in Iztapalapa Norte and Naucalpan, as well as warehouses in Monterrey, including one in San Pedro Garza García and another in downtown Monterrey, and a downtown Guadalajara, Jalisco facility.
