Exciting news awaits Mexico City as a skyscraper project takes shape under the guidance of architect Fernando Romero and construction company Grupo Xtra. This development will enhance a 5,481-square-meter plot owned by engineer Carlos Slim, strategically located on the streets of Paseo de la Reforma, Mariano Escobedo, and Melchor Ocampo.

According to Amazing Architecture magazine, this project is set to become not only the tallest skyscraper in Mexico City but possibly the tallest in all of Latin America. With a height surpassing 300 meters and boasting 73 floors, Torre Puerta Reforma will exceed the heights of its predecessors, Torre Reforma (246 meters) and Chapultepec Uno (241 meters).

The engineering behind Torre Puerta Reforma guarantees its capacity to withstand seismic activity of up to 8.5 on the Richter scale. This will be achieved through the incorporation of 30 seismic dampers and 35 steel and concrete piles, firmly anchored at a depth of 40 meters. Additionally, the tower will feature 18 high-speed elevators, transporting occupants at a speed of 6.6 meters per second across an area spanning over 200,000 square meters.
