The British company Reckitt has announced an investment of over 178 million pesos in its Delicias plant in Chihuahua, Mexico, by 2023. This investment adds up to a total of 2 billion pesos allocated to technology development, quality improvement, and implementation of sanitary measures within the plant since 2016.
Reckitt is a leading consumer goods company and employs over 2,100 people across its four plants in Mexico, along with its Research and Development Center and corporate offices serving Latin America. Mexico is of great importance to the company globally, as it manufactures and exports nutrition products to over 25 countries, making it the most significant region for the group in Latin America.
The Delicias plant has become a strategic hub for global production and has significantly increased its market share. Recently, Reckitt obtained approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to export 300 tons of infant formula from its Delicias facility, aiming to support the shortage of this product in the United States. A first shipment of 150 tons has already been sent.
