Safran, the renowned French aerospace company, has announced an exciting expansion project in Querétaro.
This initiative foresees the creation of 800 new highly specialized jobs, adding to the current workforce of 2,500 employees at the plant located in the state. This news comes after an important meeting between the Governor of Querétaro, Mauricio Kuri González, and Safran's CEO, Oliver Andriés, as part of their work agenda in Paris, France.

Olivier Andriés highlighted that the facilities in Querétaro have become the largest maintenance center in all of the Americas. He acknowledged the effort and dedication of the people of Querétaro, who have contributed to this achievement and demonstrated a mindset of continuous improvement. This characteristic has strengthened the global presence of the region. In this regard, Safran's CEO reaffirmed his complete confidence in Querétaro and stated that their decision to expand in the region has been supported by the state government over the past 20 years of operations. He emphasized that the expansion project has become a reality due to the competitive advantages offered by Querétaro.
In addition to the expansion, the meeting also agreed to promote educational programs and specialized training centers in the aerospace sector.
