Satex Textil to invest 300 million pesos in the State of Mexico

Satex Textil, a Mexican leader in knitting and printing, announced on March 6, 2023, that it will invest 300 million pesos in constructing a spinning transformation plant in the Toluca-Lerma submarket located in the State of Mexico. This project is expected to generate around 2.5 thousand jobs, boosting the local economy.

The Toluca-Lerma submarket has experienced significant growth in the last three years, with the industrial space occupied by textile, leather, and clothing companies increasing by 47%, according to SiiLA Market Analytics. This growth is a testament to the region's strong textile production and processing infrastructure, which has also led to its prominence in the fashion industry.

The textile industry in the State of Mexico is a crucial economic activity, and it is the sixth largest in the number of economic units, with over 320 businesses. At the national level, the inputs of the textile industry in the State of Mexico contribute a third of the production value and 21% of the jobs in the sector, highlighting its importance to the Mexican economy.

The State of Mexico offers competitive advantages such as a robust communications infrastructure and access to a market of seven entities and 42 million people. Satex Textil, founded in 2016, currently has a rotary printing capacity of two million meters and a digital printing capacity of 300 thousand meters. The company's dyeing capacity amounts to 750 thousand kilograms, and it handles various printing techniques, including pigment, dispersed, acid, and reactive techniques.
