IKEA, the renowned furniture store, has opened its second branch in Puebla, located within the Vía San Ángel Shopping Center. This new store covers an impressive area of 11,000 square meters and offers customers a wide selection of over 3,500 furniture and home accessories. Additionally, it features 49 exhibition spaces showcasing the latest trends in interior design.

A notable feature of this new branch is its focus on employee well-being. With a team of 240 collaborators, IKEA is committed to providing career plans and opportunities for skill development. This enables employees to grow and reach their full potential while delivering excellent customer service.

One of the highlights of the store is the inclusion of three specially designed spaces to help customers visualize how they can furnish their own homes. These simulators range in size from 25 to 55 square meters and provide inspiration and guidance for those seeking to design their homes in a functional and stylish manner.

David Machado, the General Director of IKEA, mentioned that the store encompasses 24 departments displaying textiles, furniture, home goods, toys, mattresses, bedding, and more. In addition to its emphasis on design and functionality, IKEA is also committed to environmental sustainability. The new branch in Puebla has implemented various measures to reduce its operational impact and care for the environment. These include the use of state-of-the-art air conditioning equipment to minimize energy consumption, specialized machinery to facilitate cardboard and plastic recycling, and a water-saving and treatment system.

This new store spans 8,700 square meters of retail space and marks a significant milestone for IKEA. Additionally, plans are underway to open a second store in the coming months, with expansion plans in Colombia set for 2023. Founded in 1943 in Sweden, IKEA has grown to become one of the leading furniture and home goods brands worldwide. With over 422 stores globally and a presence in more than 50 markets, the company continues to be a leader in design, quality, and sustainability.
