The developer Sordo Madaleno has made a seemingly risky move: expanding one of its shopping centers by incorporating a hotel.
The two properties in question, the Antara shopping center and the upcoming Rosewood hotel, belong to the real estate sectors that were most affected during the pandemic, which is a clear indication of the company's confidence in their future.

Despite the economic uncertainty caused by COVID-19, the company continued to make portfolio modifications throughout 2020. One of the most notable projects was the construction of Parque Plaza Satélite, the world's largest green roof located in a shopping center in Naucalpan, State of Mexico.
The project involved transforming a 40,000 square meter parking lot into a green recreational area, with the aim of boosting the retail sector and enhancing the shopping experience. This initiative reflects Sordo Madaleno's commitment to innovation and sustainable development by creatively utilizing available space and providing visitors with a pleasant and attractive environment.

The expansion of the Antara shopping center with the addition of a hotel showcases the company's strategic vision and its ability to adapt to the changing demands of the market. This combination of commerce and hospitality creates a unique and appealing ambiance, aiming to provide a complete experience for visitors. Furthermore, the inclusion of the renowned Rosewood hotel chain adds prestige and quality to the project, attracting a sophisticated and discerning audience.

Despite the challenges faced by the real estate industry, Sordo Madaleno remains steadfast in their commitment to innovation and excellence. The expansion of Antara with a hotel is an example of their strategic approach and determination to remain a leader in the sector.

With this endeavor, the company hopes to not only drive its growth and profitability but also contribute to the development and revitalization of the area where the shopping center is located.
