Walmart de México y Centroamérica recently inaugurated a new Distribution Center (Cedis) in the state of Chihuahua, bringing their total Cedis count in Mexico to 18. The construction and preparation of the facility required an investment of over 900 million pesos and has created more than 1,800 direct and indirect jobs. This new center will support the distribution of merchandise to 58 different format stores in the region.
Walmart de México y Centroamérica expressed their commitment to expanding their logistics infrastructure and putting the customer at the center of their decisions. They will continue to invest in important projects to contribute to the country's development and generate employment opportunities. The Governor of Chihuahua, Javier Corral Jurado, praised Walmart's investment in the state, highlighting the operational capacity and organizational discipline demonstrated by the company, especially during the challenging circumstances caused by the global pandemic.
