What is the current outlook for the Mexican real estate market?

  • Favorable outlook for Class A corporate spaces in the Mexican real estate market, designed to meet the new requirements of the new normal.
  • Well-located and well-designed offices that offer privacy, cleanliness, hygiene, contact-free access, and intelligent features are expected to attract the best tenants and command higher rental rates, while properties lacking these features may face challenges.

During his appearance at the recent SiiLA Live: 2022 Projections for the real estate market, Alejandro Delgado, Country Manager Mexico of SiiLA, hosted Gustavo Tomé, president of Fibra Plus. Tomé shared his perspectives on the current outlook for the sector in the country.

Regarding office spaces, the businessman noted a favorable scenario for Class A corporate spaces due to their prime locations and designs that cater to the new norms of the post-pandemic era. "In terms of offices, we've observed that well-located and thoughtfully designed spaces that offer privacy, cleanliness, hygiene, contact-free access, smart elevators, and other modern amenities are resilient structures. These properties are more likely to attract the best tenants and secure the best rents. In contrast, properties lacking these features will likely struggle," he stated.
