Last Thursday, July 13, the forum "Challenges of Dynamism and Growth in the Industrial Market in Mexico" was organized by the Commercial Real Estate Women Network (CREW Network) at the MillerKoll showroom in the Condesa neighborhood, Mexico City. During the event, influential women leaders in the commercial real estate market discussed development prospects in the industrial, logistics, and brokerage sectors, as well as the role of women in the market.

CREW Network is an organization that promotes the advancement and success of women in the commercial real estate industry. The network provides a platform for professionals from various fields, such as architecture, construction, development, and property management, to connect, share knowledge and opportunities, and foster professional growth. Through events like last Thursday's, the organization aims to create networking, business, and learning spaces.

Nearshoring was one of the highlighted topics during the forum. The panelists mentioned that over 40% of the companies coming to Mexico due to this phenomenon are Chinese. To seize this historic business opportunity in Mexico, given the low availability and deficit of industrial warehouses, the speakers emphasized the need to improve infrastructure for industrial activities, such as the electrical grid and water supply systems, in addition to receiving support from the public sector to strengthen the industrial inventory.

Furthermore, they discussed the possibility of implementing multi-level warehouses to boost the supply of industrial warehouses nationwide. Multi-level warehouses are buildings or structures with multiple floors. These properties optimize space, increase storage capacity, and allow various productive activities without additional space.

Among the speakers were Claudia Esteves Cano from the Mexican Association of Private Industrial Parks (AMPIP), Denise Rodriguez from Kuehne+Nagel, Sandra Solís from Prologis, and Andres Galvis from Ware Malcolmb, with Leticia Valenzuela from Cushman & Wakefield serving as the moderator.

Founded in 1989, CREW Network is the leading business networking organization dedicated to promoting the advancement of women in the commercial real estate field worldwide. With over 11,000 members in more than 75 markets, CREW Network represents diverse disciplines in the industry and focuses on four key initiatives: business networking, leadership development, industry research, and professional outreach.
