Today, on November 29, 2021, the groundbreaking ceremony for the World Port Industrial Park took place in San José Iturbide.
The investment of approximately fifteen million dollars will generate five thousand jobs.
Francisco de la Rosa Carpizo, Director of the World Port Group, highlighted that the selection of the park's location was crucial for ensuring its success.
Therefore, they decided to build it in Guanajuato, as part of the strategic T-MEC corridor and the railway route.
Guanajuato's exports have increased by 226% in the last decade, reaching 23.8 billion dollars. It is the sixth-largest economy in Mexico, with over 500 companies choosing to establish themselves in the state. Guanajuato is the sixth most populous state, with a workforce of 2.68 million people.
