Yesterday, Xinquan Mexico Automotive Trim inaugurated new facilities in the San Francisco IV Industrial Park, located in Aguascalientes' real estate market. This $30 million expansion aims to manufacture luxury auto parts and generate 600 new jobs.
Xinquan's global president, Tang Zhihua, stated that after two years of operating in Mexico, their Aguascalientes factory produces 100,000 sets of door panels, 500,000 center console units, and one million rear panels annually. The factory generates an annual sales value of $150 million.
SiiLA Market Analytics data reveals that Xinquan Mexico Automotive Trim's Class A plant had a gross leasable area (GLA) of almost 27,600 square meters as of the fourth quarter of 2022.
The automotive company broke ground for its plant in May 2021 and has since invested in establishing and expanding its production lines.
The Governor of Aguascalientes, Tere Jimenez, said that Xinquan (as well as foreign investment from China) would find skilled labor and competitive advantages in the state to achieve quality production processes. "We are the gateway for investments in Mexico, thanks to the fact that in more than five decades, we have maintained a climate of social peace, stability, and productivity," added the Governor about her state.
According to SiiLA Market Analytics, the last two years have seen companies dedicated to the vehicle and parts sector expand in Aguascalientes. The square meters occupied by this type of company increased by 7% in real terms between 2020 and 2022.
