BMV and Biva Advance Strongly after a Volatile Trading Day The Bolsa Mexicana de Valores (BMV) had its second consecutive strong gain on Monday. The stock market advanced in a volatile session, in which investors continued to pay attention to the conflict between Ukraine and Russia and the sanctions against Moscow by Western countries.

The benchmark S&P/BMV IPC index, made up of the 35 most valuable issuers by capitalization and liquidity in Mexico, ended with a 1.61% advance to 53,400.61 points.The FTSE BIVA index, the main index of the Bolsa Institucional de Valores (BIVA), gained 1.56% and closed at 1,101.30 units.
