On September 30th, a new shopping center opened its doors in Mexico City: Encuentro Oceanía. Located in the Aragón submarket in the eastern part of the capital, this shopping center offers a Gross Leasable Area of over 62,000 square meters. During our quarterly research, it recorded an impressive occupancy rate of 90.78% with 130 tenants. According to Pulso Inmobiliario, the developer behind the project, there is no other similar complex within a 6.5-kilometer radius. Following the SiiLA methodology and considering the number of anchor stores, Encuentro Oceanía is classified as a "Regional Mall".

Notably, Encuentro Oceanía is home to the first IKEA store in Mexico and the second in Latin America (with the first one having opened in the Dominican Republic). Spanning an area of over 7,300 square meters, this IKEA store adds to the allure of the shopping center.
